Champaigne Break was good value and made a work trip special by enabling me to combine with pleasure.
Nice looking restauarant - but put off by limited menu and no-one dining.
The staff were very attentive and went out of their way to help. Good parking facilities and views from our room were outstanding as we were given an upgrade.
The standard dinner we had i.e fish and chips wasn't up to the standard one would expect for this hotel. It was a cheap meal but I would rather pay more for better quality. On the other hand the breakfast was very good.
Location, view of the river, champaign & strawberries
Clean, comfortable and excellent location. Staff helpful. Decor tasteful.
Analogue TV and reception unacceptable by today's standards.
The relaxed feeling you got the moment you walked in. The website doesnt do it justice!
They told me they couldnt provide a cot as it illegal but I have been supplied with cots in other hotels I stayed in the UK.
Location perfect for the festival but rate expensive for standard of room. A lot ofg noise very earlky in morning due to setting up for a rug sale. Breakfast very good.
Great Location, loved the champagne and strawberries!!!
The room was really hot at night (after a very sunny day) - no air conditioning.
No Air Conditioning in the Bedroom, Reception staff not friendy, and room was not available until until 3.30
Very good location in Henley on Thames
The location of the hotel was just right ,lovely rooms and deco. The veiw from our window was postcard.
A little bite noisy due the the main road.
The hotel felt very 'grown up'. Lovely view of the river. Stylish decor. Nice bedding. Staff polite/ helpful. Food in restaurant was nice, breakfast was plentiful and a wide range available. I would stay again for a special occasion.
The staff were not aware of the details of our booking, for example, we had a 'late check out' of 1pm, and we were phoned in our room at 11;20am as they expected us to be leaving by 11am, altho that being said they were very polite about it and accepted my word that we had booked the 1pm check out. The strawberries and cream was rather lacking in strawberries for two people :-)
Very friendly staff
The fire doors at the top of the stairs for the second floor (rooms 204-209) made entry very difficult/ dangerous, particularly when carrying luggage
Staff very friendly, room beautifully decorated. Location next to the river a real bonus. Food was very good and well served.
The attitude of the staff which compensated for the limited menu, the fact that my room was not ready until after 4.oo p.m., no soap in the bathroom.
The delay in getting into my room it was not ready until after 4.00 p.m. There was no soap in the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was pathetic.
Having a bedroom on the courtyard so I could move my dogs in and out easily. Pleasant staff. Free Champagne and strawberries. Late check-out time. Nice historical surroundings.
I was slightly unnerved to find a bath in the bedroom, next to the bed. Walls are very thin so you can hear the next-door guests. Could not make free wifi work. I phoned the provider and they said the login I had been given was not recognisable. Man on reception was unable to help.
